I drop by the chat room from time to time, and there is always something going on... hard to fiind a place were you can tune in and have a good (clean) time, and enjoy what steel guitar is all about ! From the good ole steel guitar tunes to the live pickn' to the jokes & fun and not to mention the Tons of info.... What more could a steel guitar lover ask for..............
For some of you that have NOT made it there yet... What are you waiting for ? Being without the steel guitar chat room is like trying to play steel guitar all nite without a bar, They both just go hand in hand.. Keep up the good work guys and gals !

When we started this thing a long while back now, we were just trying to put a little something out there for a couple steel players now and then to talk a little and listen to some great steel music. Little did we know at the time how very important it would one day become and how many players and listeners would eventually show up to enjoy it. The one thing that is most important is that disrespect and bad attitudes is not acceptable behavior in the room and the chat must be acceptable for small children who may just be listening. I am pleasantly pleased that those types of problems are almost non-existing, and are swiftly dealt with by the many moderators we have in the room. We just feel that if we are going to have such a community it should be a place for anyone to come to, day or night, and expect to have a great time. Why would you want to go to a place where that was not the case? I know I wouldn't. Don Poland and I work daily at trying to bring new and exciting things to the room but the real deal is the members....they are what has made this Steel Guitar Chat Room thing such a big deal. In there you can go to a steel guitar jam and actually play your stuff without anyone playing on top of you....you can share your ideas with other folks and get some really great ideas from the others. We trade licks or just learn new ones and it's all in the friendship and fellowship. It's because of you guys that Don and I can hold our heads proudly in the worldwide steel guitar community. However, that said, we aren't done yet. We have some irons in the fire as we speak that will be happening in the near future that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. And finally, if you have a steel jam or show coming up in the future...let us know the details and we will be happy to post it for you in our "announcements" section. It's all about steel players helping steel players and it's really that simple.
God bless each of you and stay safe. See you in Dallas!!!
