I didn't get to go to Dallas, but the new Mullen G2 was introduced there. Anyone get to try it? Did Del play one on his set?

Sorry to tell you Jim,

The Mullen clan did not show up and no one was there to see the G2.

The Jackson guitars were there and they were really spectacular.

Regards,

There is surely a story here. Del must have had a serious reason for not showing.

Paddy, the website is up now. I checked it earlier and it wasn't there. An hour later it is. But, I still want to know what's happening.

Hi Jim, we are alive and well. Unfortunetally we did not make it to the Dallas show. We were up to our necks in guitars to build and we just did not allow enough time. Regardless of our countless hours we called it off late Friday night as we were running on fumes at that point and just couldn't see making it. We apologize to everyone for not making the show and debuting the G2. We will have pictures and a page on our website real soon for the G2. www.mullenguitars.com

Mike, Thanks for the reply. I'm just glad is wasn't something serious, like illness. Overworked is good news. That means business is good. Good to hear from you.

There must have been a lot of disappointed Steel players that didn's see the Mullen G2 at Dallas.

Which is the 2nd largest steel convention in the World.

A Pity, as there is a lot of dedicated Mullen players in Texas and Dallas. Mullen has always built a fine guitar.......al.SmileSmile

You know, If you got a great product that's in demand and the factory is loaded to the gills with orders (not to mention a new model to unveil) and under staffed, come on guy's, don't raz these poor people. They did not make the famous Dallas show because they were sitting on their asses.

I'm sure there were some disappointed folks in Dallas; but, the folks that ordered those guitars that they stayed home to work on sure won't be disappointed.

Good point Lee, and I'll bet the folks at Mullen Guitar were just as disappointed, and in fact probably even more so, that they couldn't make the Dallas show. Regardless of what the reasons might have been, one thing is for certain, they weren't sitting on their asses in Dallas! On the contrary, they were in the factory working on building guitars, and hence, keeping their customers happy. I don't know guys, but sounds like they had their priorities in the right order to me.

As history has shown, Zumsteels were well worth the wait for most, and I would be willing to bet that the new Mullen G-2 will prove to be the same.
