Hey all,

I'm new here, but I have been lurking around for awhile now.

Just thought I would pass along a couple of articles on Bud Isaacs from his hometown newspaper. (I hope this is the right place to put these, I apologize if not)

I picked up a copy of the "Buds Bounce" CD. It was eyeopening!! This guy was way beyond the opening licks of "Slowly". His playing on this CD covers all sorts of musical genres and his technique and musical thought was amazing.

You are so right, Bill. He shared a lot of musical kinship with Chet Atkins, even playing on Chet's first album. He played with a lot of people and I hope to set up an interview with him soon. I am from his hometown and have been trying to research him a lot in the past few months.

I am a member of the SWSGA ,and I got to talk to Bud and Gerri again this year and share road stories from years ago.Bud can not play steel any more, but he and Gerri sang and tell stories on stage, and get a standing ovation every time.It is a great treat to spend time with them, and I look foward to seeing them next year.
