Does anyone remember and old song titled "Teardrops on My Old Guitar"? The first lines go something like,
Teardrops on my old guitar
Echos from the days that used to be
Castles we built.........
That's all I could put together. Sure would like to recall this one. _________________ Les Green

Bob,
Thanks for the reply. Had my hopes up there for a minute but that's not the song. The song I'm thinking of is probably from the
40's or 50's. I can't remember who did it but I sure did like it. A real tear-jerker! It just happened to emerge in my mind a couple of weeks ago and it's about to drive me nuts trying to remember it.
Thanks again Bob. _________________ Les Green

Hey Les, I lived in Jeff.City and played around there years until 1965 when I moved to Calif. My brother lives in Holt Summit .I played with Jim Murphy when we were kids. Is Carl Russell stil playing? Do you still gigs,if so where are you playing? I saw your post and would like to hear
who you are playing with now, and in the past.
Thank you,

Hi Dean,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Carl died about a year and a half ago. Great guitar player. I never got to meet Murph but at presently I'm working in a group with a guitar picker by name of Sonny Robinette. You probably know him. He worked with Murph many years. Get to hear a lot of "Murph storys". I work with three other bands in the area and we do the usual "weekend warriors" bit. American Legion, VFW, Eagles, weddings, anniversarys, etc. This coming Friday nite we're doing the Legion here in JC, and Saturday nite the VFW in Linn. Before moving to JC in 1964, I worked mostly with a lot lof bands around the Herman, Washington area. Keep in touch Dean. _________________ Les Green
