I am able to connect my printer (HP) with my new laptop using a cable which has a typical usb (rectangular) plu g on one end (for pc) and a SQUARE usb(?) plug that goes into the . printer. Can anyone please tell me what the square plug is called? I need a 3-way connector so that I can plug it into the printer and from that connect both my desktop and the laptop so that I wont have to disconnect and re-connect each time I want to use one or the other. Any comments would be great. Thanks-----Hugh |

You will need something like the Belkin USB 2X1 Peripheral Switch Automatic w/ Software |

On the Belkin site they list several dozen such devices, but I can't tell by the photos what they look like. Some are incompatible with multi-use printers. I suppose I'll continue as I have been......HJ |
