The other day I was looking through a book about The Beatles' gear, which traced the gear they used from the Hamburg days up to about 1970. I was wondering if there is such a book regarding famous steel players and their gear? It would be interesting to me to be able to sit down and be able to follow a timeline of particular players and the gear they used when they first started out on up to the present day. Just a thought. I suppose a more than careful perusal of the Forum would have a lot of the information, but it would be nice to be able to sit down and read it in a logical sequence, with pictures, etc. It would be an awesome read, especially for all the self-admitted gear heads out there. |

Photos would sweet, and I wonder if anyone can produce vintage photos from the 60's, 70's era that really show the gear that was being used... Without having to have a magnifying glass to... You know. _________________ Fender/Sho-bud Dual Artist

Great post Dustin. I'd be intersted in things like that myself. I'm a history nut in a sort of way so yes it would be intersting to read about the gear used in the earlier days. _________________ Mullen Royal Precision D10 Red Lacquer Pearl inlay 8&8
