Some new sounds dropping the E9th tuning 10th string a full tone. Lately this has been a popular way to get an extended 6th tuning out of the E9th but here's two more uses for it. The 6/9 chord example is not tabbed out but it sounds just like a telecaster ending if you wiggle the bar like a tremolo. If you don't have this change but want try these tabs or check out the extended 6th sounds, do this: bar your strings at the 2nd fret leaving just the 10th string open and hold pedal B down.
If you want a neat country sound, instead of just hitting the 10th string and engaging pedal A, try hitting the 10th string with the K Knee engaged, release K then hit pedal A giving the 10th string a 4 fret travel before picking strings 8 then 6 (with pedal B).
