legs for single neck Deluxe

I recently acquired a single neck Fender 8 string Deluxe of '48-'50 vintage. Did some of these come with legs or not?

I dont remember seeing any of those stock with legs. My guess is the 1st ones with legs are the 54 champ deluxe.

Gruhn's Guide says that legs were not an option on Deluxes until 1957.
