Can someone help me out, and don't ask which way I cam in!!!

Two days ago, I was browseing either on the SGF or the HSGA site, and somewhere, somebody had a thread to a site of some decorated Johnson acoustic guitars. One was a Hawaiian theme painted on, one was sort of a Mexican, and I think the other was sort of a cowboy theme.

I've searched high and low, and can't get back to it. I've even searched on Goooooooooooooooooogle for such things as Johnson Hawaiian Guitar, but nothing. Please & thanks!!!!

George (in what used to be Peach Pickin' country, now renamed to "Snow Clearing Country"!!!!)

Thanks Mike for your response, however, while the Gretsch are similar, there were three models of definitely Johnson, it even showed them in their cardboard boxes. One had a Hawaiian scene, the other a Mexican and the third I think it was cowboyish, but I maybe wrong. But definitely Johnson.

I've heard nothing about Johnson producing such a guitar, nor is there anything about such a guitar line in either Johnson's web site or anywhere else I could find.

The Gretsch Americana comes in a box as you described. They have been discussed both here and there. Bottom line is that it's a 3/4 size guitar for $150.00 USD featuring "real wood" construction, suitable for wall hanging or actual playing if you're into that.

I think they'd make a cute lap guitar with an adapter nut added. Smile

That's it Fred. Thanks so much. I don't know where I saw Johnson, but I was browsing the online stores, and must have seen Johnson along with Recording King. I guess we've had too much snow here in 'peach picking country'!!! Thanks again.
