Spot on Ger..
Harry Brooker the steel guitarist and Garry Brooker the leader of Procol Harum.. Father and son.
BTW Serenade to a Pagan Moon, was, according to Harry, the Hardest tune he ever played !
And has NEVER been tabbed. Harry did it in an 8 string E13th (E top string) no F#
High to Lo :- E - C# - B - G # - E - D - B - E |

Yep Keoki, they were using the 'Half Diminished' change before they even knew what it was called.
I may have a go at tabbing it. (After my home re-location)
We are moving to Tamworth. |

Side note: The organ part to "Whiter Shade of Pale" still kills me! Even if it is supposedly partly taken from Bach or whoever.
I'm seriously considering getting the next Hammond I find at a thrift store--just to play that part on. Well, maybe "Green Onions" too.
I love Brooker's work with Mendelssohn, and that's a nice clip Baz. |

What!!?? That's impossible!! Everybody knows you can't create music without understanding theory, or knowing what to label everything it is that you're doing, like scales, chords, etc...
This always makes me wonder how all those cultures were able to make music before they knew what they were doing...

The may in your statement above must be changed to a MUST!!!
A very beautiful number.
I need this as a part of my repertoire.

Thanks Don, now the s**t has really hit the fan.
I am VERY meticulous with my tab,(It HAS to be note perfect) and the programme I use to print it is a real pain. I do I by hand in Logic Audio on a Mac.
I am just in the middle of moving home, and also doing tab for the next issue of "Aloha Dream" (Little Heaven of the Seven Seas in the C6th)
John Marsden has been badgering me for the past couple of years to tab this, and now you !!
I suppose I'll have to acquiesce to demand and "Knuckle Under"
In a couple of weeks or so.. |

Gary Brooker was quite young when his father died, but carried the family's musical tradition rather well.
I wonder if he plays any steel? |
