Well here goes. I took a Sho-Bud D10 and used one changer, key head, end plates and pedals. From there I literally built a new guitar. I did this with the help of Jack Palmer from New Bern, NC. This is a two wood styles lacquer body. The top decks are highest quality birdseye maple. The neck and aprons are leopard wood (from Australia). Magnificent finish and not a scratch or bar ding anywhere. We built this guitar for Jack who has since stopped playing. As much as I love this axe and the fact that it is soft playing...quick responding....and great tone and sustain...I simply can not play two guitars and I reluctantly must let this one go as I already have a D-10. I realize that the price may seem a bit high at first for a "used" steel, however you must understand that this guitar has "no issues" and is in "like new" condition. It is, in fact a "pro model" guitar. I didn't put a "name brand" on the front of the guitar because I felt it was a one of a kind and did not want anyone to think I was deceiving them. The case(s) are in like new condition as well. Two part cases. One for steel and one for pedal bar/rods. I have many pictures and will send them to interested buyers. I will answer any questions you might have. It is standard emmons set up with the fourth pedal being the Franklin change. I am asking $2400 for the guitar and cases and will ship within the lower 48. Again there are no issue with this guitar and I will stand on that. I also took a little time to make a recording of the guitar so that you could hear it for yourself. Simply ask and I will send you the MP3. While I am not much of a player...you will at least be able to hear the axe around all of the mistakes
I also have close up pictures of the underside of the guitar so that you can see the workmanship of everything. These were not bought parts nor were they cut on a CNC machine. They were done in our shops here in North Carolina.

I also have pictures of Jack and I with this guitar in the shop as it was being built that I will share with you

Ray is right when he says it's one of a kind. Words cannot say just how beautiful it is. The craftmanship is second to none with the woodworking of Ray Walker and the machinist capabilities of Jack Palmer. Bump to the top. |

I have posted a webpage for those of you wishing to see pictures of this guitar that Ray and Jack built. You can click on the individual pictures and see larger pictures for detail. There is also a link for the MP3 that Ray created while playing this guitar. I am more than sure that you will enjoy it, as Ray is a good picker and this guitar sounds great. I have seen this guitar in person and I can tell you without reservation that it is one of the best looking and best sounding guitars I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
Enjoy

Ok I have counted the first two hours posted and there have been almost 70 people who have looked at the pictures and listened to the recording. That means I would have otherwise had to reply to that many e-mails and sent out pictures...guess we should all think in this direction when posting something for sale. Seems to work out a lot better for the looking people. I am serious about selling this axe...so by all means send me an e-mail or call me direct.

Thanks Chris...heck I love to look....there's a really nice "SHO-BRO" on here that just toots my whistle. Would like to see more of his work. I don't mind the folks looking. In fact it is quite the honor for me. In the past I would send out pictures to everyone who ask regardless of whether or not they were buyers. This method seems to make better sense though and everyone can look. Take care...and thanks

Hey Jess...yes that is your green Pedal Master. Heck I almost forgot about that. Ernest...I remember you playing this guitar in Kannapolis, NC....and what a great job you did with it.
Finally, There has been a lot of people who have looked at the pictures AND listened to the mp3. Don't be afraid to make an offer on this guitar.
Thanks
