Sorry for the delayed report on the jam . It was AWESOME !!!!! Several new players as well as first time vocalists and rythm players . Chaz Mechembier (Troyer) was great on the guitar as well as vocals . It's great when someone shows up for the first time and is welomed by the family as one of them . He was singing and was joined by Sandy Lane (now a vetran of the jams)withsome harmony . You had to be there ! It was like they had sung together for years . As is usually the case there was some awesome pickin' goin' on . But more importantly what a wonderful spirit engulfed the hall . I always say that the friends you make and experiences you share far outway the music that was made . Never more true than Sunday's Jam . Without any advance notice a drawing was held for a long time supporter and fellow steel player who had suffered a series of strokes . At days end over $350 was raised . To witness the love and caring of so many people was awesome . Well I better close now before I run out of ink . Just 1 more reason you should take advantage of shows and jams in your area . You never know what you might miss . Hope to see you next time . Rick |
