This might be of interest to some of you, although it's not an original idea. It's been used on certain manufactured Steels in the past! Save the Original-Parts for future use. To see what I've done, just click here.

JOHN is one of these guys who likes to experiment and does it very well. He thinks I know what he's doing, but I'm actually an electronic DUMMY...there must be book out there written especially for the likes of me, I'm sure. One thing John and I agree upon...whatever "improvements" are made to a great CUSTOM, always save the original parts for the day when the guitar is re-modified back to where it was when Leo built it. I have heard of some startling cases where CUSTOMS have been permanently ruined due to a so-called "improvement". Hey John, I like your Web pages...neat stuff !

Bill;
I measured the Original switch-plate [2 1/4”x2 9/16”] and cut a new plate using a piece of 1/16” Aluminum, but; I drilled all the holes before cutting the plate w/hacksaw & file & sand paper. Then polished the plate as best I could, with Compound, Rouge & Thumb. Then I installed the (3)-switches on the plate, transferred the wires from the Original hook-up and mounted the plate in place of the Original. It turned out really well, for a guy that don't really know anything! I plan a few more additions before long, and will add to the Website when I'm finished!
