That was a labour of love! I'm glad you got it back together _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The design of those pickups and their restoration is amazing. Max, would you please describe the sound of your guitar now that the pickups are installed? |

They sound surprisingly strong! I didn't know what to expect as they were both almost dead when I got the guitars, but yes they sound good and fat. Maybe even too strong, I get quite a lot of pick noise... lowering the pickups might help but that would require routing of the guitar body, and I don't want to do that... I could also raise the bridge a little, the strings are pretty close to the fretboard and my picks keep hitting it. |
