I just saw Bill Kirchen last night in Berkeley, and he was awesome, as usual. He has a new CD out (see the title above), which I can also recommend. Between him and Redd Volkaert, I don't even want to LOOK at my Tele.

If you like rockabilly and honky-tonk, this may be your best bet of the year (and the year has barely started).

Hey Eric, does he have steel in the band? We're doing a show with him next week in Hollywood. Can't wait to hear him play.

Bill often gets Bobby Black to play steel with him when he is in the area.

No steel this time. Audie DeLeone on keys, Tony Johnson on drums (both ex-Moonlighters), Claude Arthur on bass (the CD has Nick Lowe on bass). Blackie Farrell may sit in.

In the past I think Buddy Charleton and our own Ricky Davis have been on Bill's recordings. (and Joe Goldmark with the Twangbangers).

p.s. Dave, you get to share a stage? I'm green with envy Smile
