I just saw Bill Kirchen last night in Berkeley, and he was awesome, as usual. He has a new CD out (see the title above), which I can also recommend. Between him and Redd Volkaert, I don't even want to LOOK at my Tele.
If you like rockabilly and honky-tonk, this may be your best bet of the year (and the year has barely started).

Hey Eric, does he have steel in the band? We're doing a show with him next week in Hollywood. Can't wait to hear him play. _________________ Dave Zirbel-

Bill often gets Bobby Black to play steel with him when he is in the area. |

No steel this time. Audie DeLeone on keys, Tony Johnson on drums (both ex-Moonlighters), Claude Arthur on bass (the CD has Nick Lowe on bass). Blackie Farrell may sit in.
In the past I think Buddy Charleton and our own Ricky Davis have been on Bill's recordings. (and Joe Goldmark with the Twangbangers).
