Hello Everyone,
I'd like to take this opportunity to invite you all to our 5th Annual Northwest Georgia Steel Guitar Show. Each year it has gotten better and we have been able to give more money to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. I have not yet got the whole show put together but I do have the conformation on our guest. This year we have Georgia's own Larry Sasser along with Rob Parker, Russ Hicks, Smiley Roberts, Herby Wallace and John Hughey. With the great player of the Atlanta area I know we will have a wonderful show. Put February 4, 2007 on your calendar and plan to be with us for great music, fun, food and fellowship. I will make a post when I get the rest of the show put together. I hope to see you there.

Jerry

Well, I can't say enough about this great show. I have know Jerry since back in the sixties and we even worked on the road some together back then. I must say that when Jerry Braswell does a show everything is first class, so put this on your calendar and try to be there. This show also has a special meaning to me since I am a Shriner and understand and appreciate all the good that comes to the crippled and burns children from supporting shows like this, so I hope to see all of you there.

Hey Jerry where is this Steel Show going to be located.I may just come on down to it.North west Georgia can't be that far from Greeneville TN. I think I'm closer than Herby Wallace. Let me know and I know Anna and I will be able to come on down.

We have moved the show to the downtown Atlanta area. It will be at the Shrine Center 400 Ponce de Leon Avenue. This is where we have had it for the last two years for those who attended last year. I will give better directions at a later date. I welcome all, I know you will go home well pleased with your trip.

Hi Folks,
It's me again with another addition to the play list. Tommy Dodd told me last evening that he plans to be with us on this day of fun, food and great music. With just the talent that has already agreed to be with us on February 4, 2007 we will have a blessed day. I do hope you have made your plans to be with us. I know you won't be disappointed with the music and Talent. And speaking of talent, let me tell you that the staff band is made up of some of the best player around; Starting with Woody Ledford, Johnny Thomas and Billy Puckett on lead guitars, Wayne Smith on Bass with Jim Hartley and Wayne Stowers on drums what more could you ask for. I'm looking forward to the 4th of February 2007.

I hope to see you there
Jerry

I make this post to keep this steel show fresh in your mind. I'd like to add that I attended the Saluda show this past weekend and enjoyed it big time. It was good to see all the good players from that area. Of course it was nice to see Russ, Laney and Rob Parker. I just enjoy the fellowship we have when we all get together, it's just like having a family reunion. I did miss seeing Bill Ferguson. I hope you keep our show in mind and plan to be with us on February 4, 2007.

It appears That I will try to keep this up at the top myself. I hope this is not any kind of sign of what our croud will be. We have some great talent lined up for this show and I think they should have some special attention. I want everyone to know that we have a great show with good players. I hope you come and be with us on this day.

Hey Jerry,,,,nice to see you in Saluda and we're looking forward to your show...it'll be easy to remember because Feb. 4th is Laney's birthday.....29 again....and she's asked me to remind everyone who would like to give her a gift that you MUST limit the price to $500.00, and for those who would rather just give cash, give it to me and I'll 'pass it on' to her.....see how easy I've made it.....last year there was at least that much spent on chocolates at the show....I never knew whether it was Bill Fergueson or Bill Cook, but somebody brought a bunch of candy.
On a more 'important' note, we're going to have a LARGE time at the show, and since I didn't get to lock horns with Sasser at Saluda, I intend to finish him off in Atlanta, that is if he dares to show up.
See you there,
rh

Did you eat the balloon too?

Russ,
I didn't give Laney any candy but I did make sure she got a piece of that home made chocolate cake for her birthday.

I heard from Joe Turner today from up the Saluda way, he confirmed he would be with us on the 4th of February. If you have never heard Joe play, you should. It is going to be a real good show.

For those who want to come over on Saturday or stay over on Sunday; there are motels and hotel in the area but I suggest that you stay on the outskirts of Atlanta. The rooms that are in the area of the Shrine Center are not very cheap or reasonable I should say. There are a lot of places to stay coming into Atlanta anyway you come in. The Shrine Center is right in the heart of the Atlanta area and things are a little higher there.I will give directions how to get to the Shrine Center at a later date. I look forward to meeting new people and seeing old friends.

Jerry, You have a super line up and as usual you will have a great show.I plan to be there early and stay late. If you can send me a Flyer or some sort of advertisement, I will make copies and hand out at our Show on Jan. 19th and 20th.I hope that we can just come close to having a Show that you and the Shriners put on each year. The "ALABAMA GANG" will be there in force. Thanks for all you do for steelers and the kids.
