HE is one of rock 'n' roll's great survivors, but David Crosby's ill
health has forced legendary folk-rock trio Crosby, Stills and Nash to
postpone their tour of Australia. Crosby, 65, who suffers from
diabetes, heart disease and hepatitis C, has contracted pneumonia,
according to the American band's Australian publicist, Chrissie Camp,
and he is unable to travel.
The announcement comes two weeks before the group was to begin its
first tour here in almost 20 years. Crosby, Stills and Nash, who had a
string of hits during the Woodstock era of the 60s and 70s, including
Marrakesh Express, Wooden Ships and Long Time Gone, were scheduled to
begin their tour in Perth on February 17.
All dates for the tour have been rescheduled for December. Tickets
already purchased will be valid for the new shows or the money
refunded. |
