Well I missed that one. I'm in the market for a Gretsch guitar.

Have to move faster next time.

Joe. You are going to see a lot of Gretsch instruments for sale on the used market as Gretsch has resigned with the estate of Chet Atkins and the Atkins name is introduced on the new Gretsch guitars at NAMM this month. There will be players who will want the new Gretsch instruments with Atkins name on them and will sell their non Atkins Gretsch on the used market.

The Tn. Rose guitars were being blown out at several on line sellers for $999 brand new in the case. Hang on and keep an eye out on Ebay and other net sites. You will find a nice Gretsch for a good deal.

I know how you feel Joe. I was second in line by mere seconds. I felt bad all day about missing it.

Hi Joe, If I had known you were looking I'd had contacted you personally. It was just like new. My Grandson has to get his tonsils and stuff out next week and my daughter is stuck with 40% of the bill and this was something that I could raise some quick cash with. Be sure to stop by next time you're in town.

I ended up getting a 6118T off ebay, but it was more money.

When you going to make it to Nashville?

I've got a 59' Gretsch 6119 that I haven't been playing since I'm more into steel than guitar. I also put it away when I bought a 65 epiphone broadway. I've been kickin' around getting rid of it. I might trade it for an emmons if someone is interested. It's not a reissue. Normal wear for the age. The only issue is that in the early 60's someone put a second pickup in it so that it would be more like a 6120. They used the gretsch pickups at that time, the black ones. The original pick up is in the case.
