Hey gang, I doubt this will work but here goes.

I am a pretty die hard lap steeler, but after a few failed experiments early in my steeling career I gave up PSG. I have decided to give it another go, but I am not able to sink a lot of $$ into anything. I am looking for an older (not a carter starter or anything like it) guitar that can have the setup changed, I am not going to be using E9 so a Maverick is out. I am seriously not concerned about cosmetics; dinged, dragged, refinned, painted lime green by a7 year old with ADD... it's all good. I just want it to be mechanically decent, playable when I get it, and I would prefer a solid wood guitar. I know, it's a tall order, but if someone has something laying around I'd love to know about it. I don't have a lot of cash, but I can work up a few bucks if something looks good. So if you have a clunker under the bed drag it out and holler at me, maybe we can work something out.

Never mind, shot the budget on Mark's Sierra 8 string.
