I've been waiting to post this, to make sure I got it right. A few weeks ago, I had to sell a bunch of stuff, t pay some medical bills. As soon as I got back to work, John Fabian called about an SD-10 he'd taken on trade. Well, I screwed the whole works up. I ordered the guitar, with an extra pedal, 1" lift kit, a weird 1/2 stop, yadda yadda... And then I sent Ann a personal check, which, of course, Carter doesn't take. My mistake! But with some good dialogue on both sides, I GOT THE GUITAR!!!!
Absolutely beautiful, figured mahogany sides, and a black top. Plays like a '36 Ford, as Mike Auldridge puts it.
Just a great guitar, and some good people. Thanks Bud, Ann, and John. This wil NOT be my last visit with y'all.

Stephen, I`m glad it all worked out for you. My experience with John and Ann has always been excellent too.

Stephen,
Over the New Years Holidays I aquired a new to me 2003 Carter S/D10, 4&5. I think this one is gonna be a "keeper", so I'm looking forward to some good dealings, and relations with the nice folks at Carter! Very Happy

Larry

I thought you said you bought a Les Paul ?

sorry I didn't get with you yesterday, I'll catch up soon.
Your new Steel sounds great I can't wait to see it and hear it thru the FSK.

How far are you from Greenville SC , I get down there a few times per month, I want to see this new little SD 10, maybe take it home and try it out for a month or two !

Congrats, Great Steel...

Ps, you don't hold it like your Dobro just in case you were not sure..

Stephen, hope you are doing fine and wanted to ask: how long since you saw Mike Bagwell? Haven't heard anything from or about him for some time. He impressed me more than any other player when i saw him in Saluda in 2004. Great sound, technique just a knockout picker. If you see him tell him greetings from Elizabethtown, Pa.. Best wishes. TJH
