I just booked a room and will get a table for Profex 2 and other processor mods. Due to the time and test equipment it takes, we will not be doing amps at the show or repairs on battery damaged Profex and other processor.
We should be there Friday afternoon.
I have a limited amount of chips and will bring all I have for the show.
Come on by and we can chat about the amp mods as well. |

I have a few items in the for sale area of the forum that included shipping in those posted prices. Buy at the show and save the shipping costs!
I will have the following for sale at the show:
cache card, $70.00
Alesis Quadraverb $75.00 |

If you have a Profex II, you should get Ken's mod. He did mine and it sounds so much better and quiter. No more hiss and hum, and the removal of the battery insures that it will stay that way and not have to worry about a leaking battery eating its way into the electronics. Money well spent!
To clarify: It didn't make my playing sound and better, that would take a miracle from above. |

Ken,
Can you fix my Mosvalve 500 this week end? Will you have any pots that will work on this amp? I'd like to be first in line. |

I am not set up for any board level repairs at the shows. The pots would be special order as well.
I do not do board level repairs on these amps. I limit my repairs to older hand-wired tube amps, Profex 2, and a few of the older Peavey steel amps I mod.
I avoid solid state equipment from most manufacturers. Several reasons:
To hard to get apart
Too hard too get parts
Too hard to find schematics
Virtually no customer support, except Peavey!
Your best bet is to clean the pots with a good cleaner from Radio Shack or a local electronics parts shop. I will also be glad to do that much for you at the show, but that is the limit of what I can do for the amp. I will have no way of testing it there. |
