I just saw a video of Don Helms playing "Bye, Bye Blues" on Youtube. It was from the Wilburn Brothers TV show in the 1960s. Don was playing a natural finished D-10 Sho-Bud psg. Looked like the guitar had 4 pedals on it.??
Does anyone know which tunings Don used when he went to a psg?
I saw Don playing an MSA guitar, with Hank Jr., at a county fair in southern Minnesota in the late 50s or early 60s |

I have asked Don to record a Gospel Album (cd) with me, and Don said he would love to do that. I was over-joyed to say the least. We are in the process of setting studio time to "Gitter Dun" I am looking forward to this so very much. It's such a great thing to be on the same project with a Life-long Legend and a very close friend for so many years. We both hope that you will accept our humble offerings. Many thanks for letting us talk about it. On behalf of Don Helms, We Thank you. Ron |

Well thats great, two of my good friends, Brothers, and heroes. I'm putting my order in now so I can get copy No.1 signed.
Don and Ron all I can say is it's about time
Love you both
I just talk to Don and he said that wasn't a D-10 it was a D-9 Sho-Bud.
The tuning was E6 and the PSG is now in the hands of a guy in North Carolina
