Has anyone every heard of or used this tuning?

G-B-D-F#-B-D

or, this variation:

F#-B-D-F#-B-D

I first heard this used at The Hukilau last October. Essentially just a hi-bass open G tuning with the G's tuned down to F#.

Anyone use it?

See, "The Dobro Book," "The Complete Dobro Player," "The Art of the Hawaiian Stel Guitar," and I'll bet also, "The Art of the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Volune 2," by Stacy Phillips. This is pretty much a variation of C#m tuned 2 frets down.
