I have a Fender 400 that is converted to a console. There is no hardware for the pedals at all, so it is a console guitar. It is not in great condition, not particularly pretty- but it sounds great and stays in tune, so it is a useable console guitar. I am working on getting the $$ for a Sierra 8 string lap and might let this go to get the Sierra- but I am not sure. How much should I expect to get from this? Assume the worst condition and it is better than that; the tuners are not original, but the legs are. The pickup is original but needs to be remounted. I really love it but can't really afford 2 guitars; darn things eat me out of house and home! Note that it is not for sale at this point, and may not get that far. If it is too little value I will just try to find another way to get the $$. |

Without photos, it's hard to guess, but I personally wouldn't pay more than $250 USD for such a thing as you've described it.
One in good condition sold for $800 on eBay recently, and I see one offered for $725 Buy It Now today. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

I bought two this past year with all the parts. One 6 pedal cost $450 shipped and one 8 pedal was $500 shipped. You might be better keeping it as it is still a nice sounding steel.

That seems like the best bet, I will have it for a C6. Now I just gotta figure out how to raise the $$ for the Sierra. |
