Sometime back I posted on the Forum asking for someone to help write a song about an old fishhouse that sits by small river about 10 miles east of Jones (LA). Got a hit from David Donald, who was I think, living in France at the time. Anyway, he wrote the words and put them to music with him playing all the backing tracks. Then he got a buddy, Joe Thigfall to sing it. Once finished David posted the song here on the Forum. This Christmas, a couple of my grand kids got Ipods for gifts, each Ipod having a few sample songs already on the them. The kids got a big surprise, yep, Ten Miles East of Jones was on the Ipod. I don't know how many Apple Ipods are out there but I suspect there's a bunch. No big deal just thought it was pretty Kool.

Billy, was it put on the iPods by you,
or delivered from Apple with it???

By the way that's Joe WIGFALL singing.

I heard it a few times recently,
I still like the general production, and the song.
Played it for an english friend here and he really liked it too.
Can't complain.

Happy New Year to you! Smile

The Ipods were delivered with the song on them. Sorry about Joe's name. Another senior moment.

Well that is just wild.
Somebody at Apple must have liked it enough to pick it.

But I can't find it on iTunes Store.
Maybe someone at the store that sold it put it on...
Local interest song, maybe.
Without knowing your connection with it.
Very curious....
