I think most of us here already have all the steels we need, so bargain prices are the only thing that would entice us to buy, at least that's where I'm at. There are some fine guitars there though.

The shop is not far from me, but I wouldn't waste the time since the posted prices are not even a good point to start negotiating in my opinion.

Agreed. But with the way prices (at least asking prices) have gone to the moon lately, if they're still in the store in a year or two they may not be out of line.

Yeah, today’s asking prices are hard to accept, especially if you were around back in the day when any one of those lap steels could be had for $50. (used, not new).

Doug,I noticed the Jerry Byrd model you showed has no Horseshoe pickup. What's up with that 🤔

There's a horseshoe pickup, the narrower model.

Yes, the later version of pickup, the horseshoe was not actually a magnet by that time, just cosmetic I believe.
