I think this is relative to the thread. In 1976 while I was playing the road with Grammy award winning Donna Fargo(Funny Face, Happiest Girl in the whole USA) , After a gig I went to the night spot Mr. Lucky’s in Arizona . I met the incredible steel player in the house band. Native American, Ivan Greathouse! Ivan was playing a ZB thru a tall amp with 6 -10†speakers. I’d never heard anything like it! He sounded a lot like Curly Chalker on stearoids. Huge sound and great C6th playing. His C6h was on the top neck like Curly. There were no strings on the bottom neck.
Would love to reconnect with Ivan. He was very humble and kind. |

Great song, vocals, and steel, from the comments sounds like he has passed. _________________ Regards, Craig
