This black and granite is almost unplayed.3+5 emmons setup.the case when i got it was not real nice. He shipped it and said he will get me a mew case.he was excited to get my D 10 ZUM. I guess he forgot he told me this. Its a cream puff. I only play it at my church. Its the later model with the anti detuning device. I dont really want to ship it.
5999.00 firm I knocked the price down to this. That it don't ask. T.Y.

What makes a Zum so valuable? An Emmons should be worth just as much? Can someone school me and convince me?

You have to experience it to understand. There are a lot of good guitars, but over time, ZUM players seem to be resistant to play anything else.

Good question.

I'm just as reluctant to ever play anything other than an Emmons. IMHO

I tend to think that any pedal steel that has been set up correctly and has a decent pick up will do the job. It really boils down to a matter of sound that pricks your ear. I personally have owned zum, sho bud, gfi , carter and Mullen. All the guitars played well and all had a little different sound. As far as one guitar playing better that is a matter of feel and action. Could be the Indian and not the arrow.

Well said! My two Emmons LLIII's have the anti-detuning device, sound gorgeous and are pleasing to my ear.

I wonder if Gary's SD-10 Zum looks like this one?

Having hard time letting this go. I quit playing several gigs with different bands. Don't need it. I think it really only has a few hours on it. The guy could not get the hang of it. I can get a 4th pedal if the buyer wants it for 200.00 with steel purchase. I play it at my church and the string seem to stay exactly in tune.that device Bruce put on them don't let the tuning wonder much.
