Bo, I think another aspect to think about as to why cop the solo is that perhaps we are also playing for the audience's amusement and they might like to hear a solo with which they are familiar. I agree with your point that is beneficial to put your own stamp on the music. too. steve t |

I don't see anything wrong with wanting to play something just like you hear it on a recording. Then, you can put your own twist on it later. |
