Hi,
I just want to let my fella Steel Players know that the group that I play for will be in Ava, IL on September 15th Saturday Night at 6:00 PM. We're inviting all to come out and have a good time.It will be at Bro Murl's Assemblies of God Church in Ava, IL, when I get the exact address I'll post it for the church.
The name of the group is "The Borders" Carl Borders plays the keyboard and sings, he's play for the "White River" out of Branson Mo., he's played for the McGruders,he has played for the late "Jack Campbell" other groups as well(He's good) his wife sings, their daughter sings and both are good musicians, (Sherry Borders, and Amy Caudill daughter), Darrell Jones plays electric drums.
As for me I play the Steel for the group.
Hope to see some of you and talk about the good old days.
The Bar guy, BJS.

Hey Jack Hearn don't you live close to Ava, IL? If you do I'll see you in St Louis and I will tell you about the group. Maybe you have some friends that could come out for that Saturday night singing.
See You,

Bill,
To you and your group. A very moving program. You all have a splendid group.Good ,powerful harmoney and solos. And you and the other musicians did an outstanding job.Your great tone ,and tastefully played fills, and solos was a treat. You had that Sierra humming. And with Carl on piano, and Darrell on drums, you guys layed down some fine sound for Miss Amy, and Miss Sherry and Carl to sing with.
For those who couldn't come, or would not , you missed a really good presentation.
I'm looking forward to the next time I have an opportunity to see and hear you.
So if any of you see an ad, or a sign,or hear of "The Borders " in concert, please go..You'll be glad you did, and they will be glad you came..
Peace and love to all of you..
