Calvin, with the new GDec 30 from Fender you can program (very easily) backup tracks to just about anything you want and save tem to memory - both on the amp and on your computer. It's also great little practice amp. I have the old version and it's great, but lacks the programability breadth of the new one.
Then you don't have to hunt for tracks - just make them yourself. _________________ No chops, but great tone

See my post under "For Sale: Music......" for "Texas Dance Hall Classics". No tab, but good tracks, if I do say so myself. |

Hey Calvin, good to see you back. I just noticed over in Events section of this Forum, Laney & Russ Hicks have just put out some good stuff called "you do the Steel" or something like that, about a 9 CD series. Don't know if they have tab to go with, but you might check that out.... _________________ Mullen Lacquer SD 10, 3 & 5; Mullen Mica S 10 1/2 pad, 3 & 5; BJS Bars; LTD400, Nashville 112, DD-3, RV-3, Hilton VP . -- Gold Tone PBS sq neck; Wechter Scheerhorn sq neck. -- "Experience is the thing you have left when everything else is gone." -anon.- |

Tony
maybe i should reword that: i have gone thru everthing that Jeff Newman has thats to my liking/taste....sorry bout that
the only thing that i don't like about Jeffs Honky Tonk Heroes series is the lack of tab, it gives the chord progressions but i always feel like i might not be playing it right or that if it was tabed out i might see another way to play it _________________ proud parent of a sailor

Jeff has a lot of songs in his Woodshed workshop and they are tabbed out and match his tracks on Heroes. Thay are songs that went to Number one,a nd include a singer, tab, and sound tracks to play with, you can buy them seperatly and he has a book with many of them in it as a groupe. Hope this helps. I have almost all of them. His work is as it was doner on the hit record and he matches the origanal steel playing, so you can learn different styles of playing. Some of them are very many pages, so you get much for your money.
