A triple from '56. Looks a lot like my '68 triple, with non-blonde paint and missing logo. Re-fi?

I play in a western swing band and would love to have a Fender T8(or a quad). What are these steels probably worth? They both appear to be in very nice condition to me. I'm playing a borrowed T8 stringmaster right now but he won't sell it to me. It has 4 legs. When did they change?

There is also a beautiful T8 National steel on E bay. I don't know much about those. I would guess it would be a good collector item? Who played one of these? I'm looking for something to play and I better understand Fenders as I grew up with my dads '53 D6.

The National D8 like the one on Ebay sounds good to me. It doesn't have the trebly sound of a Stringmaster though. We had a guest player at the Joliet convention last year that played one and I thought it was great sounding. And it was kind of rough looking too Very Happy

Stringmasters always had four legs I think. Dual Pros had three ( I have one) and they seem a little shaky to me. Confused

Regards BILL
