An affordable Frypan with huge horseshoe magnet. Has sweet chime tone. No issues whatsoever except one fret that has been replaced and it's a little larger than the others. $700 and I'll pay to ship anywhere in USA.

Inside the body is a large U-shaped magnet. I think that's what Roy is referring to.

Yes that's it -- it's about the size of your hand folded in a C shape. Am I not understanding the Horseshoe magnet correctly?

Roy, You are correct.

Many early lap steels... the ones with blade pickups... had a large Horseshoe Magnet (U-shape) on the inside. That's what your lap steel has.



The Horseshoe Pickup is a style of pickup, made popular by Rickenbacher.



PS that sure is a clean Supro you have!
