Hi Steelers without Peds,

I am trying to locate some recordings by the late Coy Perriera and other non steelers. I had several of the Hawaiian steel recordings years ago on vinyl and somebody stole all of my Hawaiian steel LPs.

I want to replace some of those LPs on cassette or CDs. Does anyone know were I can get some of those Sweet Sweet Steel series LPs, cassettes, cds?

I had Coy's "Sentimental Series #9," I really liked it and David Keli's,also Jerry Byrd's, and all stolen.

Any help appreciated!

GOD bless!

Hi Terry , Why don't you list the ones you need ?? I have most all David K.s and Jerry Byrds old Hawaiian records and some others. I don't have any Coy music . If you can't find new vinyl or C.D.s I can put on cassettes for you . Will take a little while but can be done !!( N.C. ) I know how I would feel if somebody stole all my old Hawaiian records !! Hi Eddie,

The Coy Pierrera LP was titled "Sentimental Steel Guitar," and put out by Maple Records in Canada.

The Jerry Byrd was the "Byrd In Hawaii," and it had the picture of the beach beauty on the cover it. I remember it had the song titled "Silver Sands" on it.

I had Hawaiian record by David Kali. Seems like it had a Hawaii landscape picture on it. Rainbow over a valley or something.

I can't remember all of them now. There were vocal albums the Greatest HIts of Don Ho with Jerry Byrd playing all over that record. It was the best Don Ho album in my opinion that I ever heard.

Hope this helps.

Thanks and GOD bless!

Hi Terry , I have the David K. and the Don Ho albums and several by Byrd. I may have that "Byrd in Hawaii" one somewhere but will have to check my old cassettes. I don't have the Coy P. album but I have some others with good Hawaiian steel and will try to give you some good music. E-mail me ,( "E" is on my profile ) and give me your mailing address and I'll make up some cassette tapes I think you will enjoy. Will be a couple weeks before I can do anything as our daughter & family are coming up next week from Penn. to visit and we'll be kind of busy with grandchildren but I will get to it ASAP !! Aloha and TTYL !! Eddie "C" ( the old geezer that loves old Hawaiian music !! )
