I've dug out a 3 ring9 binder of old Emmons tab and I plan to put it on eBay. I need a little info on it - like when it was published.

The first page says Emmons School of Pedal Steel Guitar. PO Box 1904, Burlington, North Carolina 27215.

There's no copyright date but it does have some numbers at the bottom of the songs' pages.

BE-E9-1 I've Just Destroyed The World
BE-E9-2 Crazy Arms
BE-E9-3 Walk Me To The Door
BE-E9-4 Touch My Heart
BE-E9-5 Swinging Doors
BE-E9-6 Are You Sure
BE-E9-7 A Way To Survive
BE-E9-8 Take Back Your Old Love Letters
BE-E9-9 The Other Woman
BE-E9-10 You Took Her Off My Hands

Bud's Therapy
Hold It
Little Darlin (2 versions)
LLoyd Green Tune
Therapy
Pedal Patter
At E's
Waltz Of The Roses
Lady Lay Down
R2D2
A Mighty Fortress Is Our God
Major Diatonic Scale
Some Diagrams and Scale Stuff
Raisin The Dickens (C6)
He Keeps Me Singing
Dixie
Green Sleeves
Aura Lee
Over The Rainbow (Chord Chart)
Circle Of 5th/4th (diagram)

So if anyone can offer any info on these (value, date, if audio is available, etc) I'd appreciate it.

I figure this stuff will bring around $100 on eBay so if anyone wants to buy it for that price, I'll sell it. Otherwise, it's off to eBay in a few days.

As far as the first set of tab is concerned, (marked BE...), it is still available new from the Emmons Guitar Company along with the LP. I believe the cost is somewhere around $30. As to the other, I have no idea. I just purchased the Doug Jernigan and Herby Wallace tab/record from them at a cost of about $30 each.

Yeah. Ernie Renn just let me know that it's still available (the Emmons stuff). Maybe I'll buy a copy. Not sure what to do about the other stuff though. I know there was a copy of Pedal Patter on eBay about a month ago. Guess I've never even heard that one.

Doug, all the times I've visited the Emmons web site, I've never thought to check the instruction tab!

Does anyone know if these various 52 week player-specific courses are available on CD (as opposed to cassette)? I'd really like to get the John Hughey one. Alternately, is it hard to transfer cassette cuts to a CD? thanks. mp

I have the first 2 of Doug Jernigan's 4-part C6 course, tab & cassette. The drum machine is kind of cheesy and the arrangements are spare but there are some jewels like "Rose City Chimes," "Sleepwalk" and a shorter version of "Streets of Laredo."

Michael I have the John Hughey course you wrote about. I have the tab for all songs plus I took the cassette and sent it off and had it put on CD which is really good. Problem is I can't put my hands on the CD but it is here somewhere.

That's interesting Billy. I may go ahead and purchase the Emmons John Hughey course and then try the cassette to CD transfer. I believe there is a free downloadable software program called something like "audacity" that accomplishes this. (I'm becoming a big JH fan.)
