Bill,
I have had several months to think about this and how I should approach handling my display of ignorance towards you. I would like to publicly apologize to you and ask your forgiveness for my hasty and inconsiderate statements towards your usage of the English language. Fact of the matter is the world needs more like you to make us exercise our brains. You raise the bar for a lot of us and that is actually a very good thing. It’s like being around someone who is more knowledgeable than one’s self about music…it kind of pulls you up to a higher level. I’m ready to be a student now rather than someone who critiques.
Sincerely,
Robby _________________ Robby

Yes, I somehow forgot a lesson I learned long ago "Better to build some one up than beat them down. While building someone up you also build yourself". I was reminded of this in a conversation with my son a couple of weeks ago |

I think ol'e Billy has a pretty good column here. It seems to me that he post's a topic (which becomes the arena) and then invites each of us to come in for some verbal sparring. I have stepped into the ring a few times but I'm no match for the champ. I just enjoy watching the action from the cheap seats. Once in a while, I will shout "Foul" or "Low Blow"...
p.s. Examining his use of the English Language will not assist me in any of my life's endeavors but it is fun to read (like Mad Magazine). |

Robby S.,
Thanks Robby for your friendship. I must admit that I was momentarily staggered, while scanning for my post, that had plummeted overnight. A friendly voice helps to tone down criticism, and to show appreciation will always be something that I will strive for in the future. |
