Hi Guys, just new to the world of lap steel, although a regular guitar player for 40 plus years have just seen the light with these little beauties.I can't believe the wealth of info on this sight, down here in Australia steel guitars and info is very very scarce. One of my laps is a twin neck Supro I love that pickup sound however I find it extremely difficult to actually access the second neck,it seems I need to contort my wrist in a weird fashion to play the thing. It this just my lack of experience or are all twin necks the same.Cheers from OZ and thanks for a great site.Kelvin |

Welcome to the happiest place on earth Kelvin,
Necks that are on the same level can be awkward to use. That's why both Fender and Gibson, among others, stager the height of the outer necks. They get fatter and taller as they go out to the 2nd, 3rd, or lord have mercy, the 4th neck.
When you win the Irish Sweepstakes, buy a multi neck Fender and save contorting your wrist for other more rewarding joys. |

Kelvin,
I have a good friend, Preston Devine, in Oz who is a lap steel player I correspond with. I think he lives in Queensland. Also, Bruce Clarke is famous....he is well known in the HSGA.
Good luck with lap steel, the most un-discovered and under-rated musical instrument on Planet Earth.
