Yep, pure tone machine. This welded frame model is the one most desired. It's said that, of all the all-pull guitars, these models are closest to the tone of a p/p. YMMV, though.

Regardless, it's a great guitar in all aspects...and you rarely ever see them for sale.

Folks, I can"t remember if I have played this guitar or not as I have played so many of Ron"s guitars. But one thing I can say for sure, If Ron has it for sale, you can bet that it is in perfect condition and that it is ready to use on any job. I am sure that this instrument is first class, and Ron is a great guy to do business with.

Hello Hap & Mike;
Thank both of you for you comments.I really appreciate that.This is one of those guitars that will probably never be made again.The welded frame does not flex or change dimensions inside as some guitars do.I know i will regret letting this one go but i have to thin it down some..Thanks for reading.

Last thing I heard was that it was still for sale.I even heard the amount....and I could be wrong but I heard $25.000 and the man that told me also said that there are some guitars left in that company.
If all this is true???,,,,,,I have no idea.It is the story I heard.
Maybe the man that told me is willing to enlighten us here.

My understanding is that it's everything except the machinery, and that Gretsch converted all of it to making regular guitars. The startup expenses would involve tooling up for production...not cheap...but I would absolutely do it if I had the means.
