I played the tune 'Home' during my HSGA Joliet 2006 set with my buddies Chuck Wilson (guitar) and Howie Clark (uke). My good friend Doug Smith taught me the tune many years ago.

I recorded it recently in my home studio. I play all the instruments (Band In A Box bass).

Hi Gerald,
That's another good tune! Nice dreamy atmosphere. You and your guitars sounded fine at Joliet's HSGA celebration.

That was really nice GB. The bakelite sounds great. I don't remember ever hearing that tune.

Bill, you haven't heard that before because it is rarely played, except when Doug Smith plays.

It is a prehistoric tune and you were not around then when it was popular.

By the way Gerald, I liked it alot, especially caused you jazzed it up a bit.

Aloha,
Don

Bill, regarding the Bakelite tone. I recorded the Bakelite through my new amp - the Roland Cube-60.

I just mic'ed the amp and recorded away.

Added a bit of reverb on the amp. Gain at about 11 o'clock. The "Black Face (Fender Amp)" setting.

Funny you should ask Rick.

It's the 1947 T-Logo, the one you recently completely rewired, rewound, remagged and added that little bit of Aiellian magic to.

The comment was in no way about Gerald's excellent playing or Rick's infatigable humour..
It was about Jesse Pearson's question elsewhere.

Gerald,

Sounds great and the Roland is such a great, easy little amp. I still have five tube amps and six boxes of tubes that keep gettin used to fine tune em and it's no longer fun.

Bob, Thanks for the R Crumb link -- brings back memories of music and comix.
