I own a beautiful D-8 "National" non-pedal console. The serial number is intact, but I don't have a clue about the age of the unit. I think National went out of business long ago, so how can I date it?

Thanks for the help! It turns out that it was conceived or born about the same time as me.
Maybe thats why I'm attached to it. I'm the nut at the far left end.
