Where do you get one of those "nut raisers"
for playing lap on regular guitar
ie, temporary, not taking the existing nut out _________________ 'Frenchy' LeBlanc...

Even the local Guitar Center should carry such an item. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

You'd think so but the one by me doesn't. They had very few steel related items, I had to buy mine online. |

If you need one at short notice, or if you just want to experiment, you can use a sawed off threaded bolt or a threaded lamp sleeve. The threads will hold the strings in place. It once worked for me. |
