In today's world where money is ourageous there are front people who are multi millionaires, even some backline players, rolling stones come to mind.
Correct me if I am wrong but I very much doubt if any hard working steelers will get in the "club"Although in my opinion they all deserve to be there for giving us so much pleasure for all this time.
Best regards

If you have the money you can be on a record.

How good will it be? well that is a different story.

IMO I think the best steel player, guitarist, drummer, etc, is not "well-know", they are very hummble guys that have never been discovered and are just trying to get by, these guys (or gals) work very hard playing alot "gigging" and the sad thing is they may never get discovered. I don't know of there financial status, but I would bet they are millionairs at heart.

I figure that I am as far away from a millionaire as you can get. Well, not that bad but it sure would be nice. I would bet there is someone here that may be a millionaire in all their stocks and properties but I wonder if they got it playing steel guitar.

I heard that Jeff Newman achieved that through his playing and teaching.

Did you hear about the steel player who won a million bucks playing the lotto?
When asked what he was gonna do with all his money, he replied, "I'll just keep gigging until the money runs out."

Bobbe Seymour comes to mind.

He marries into a million or more at a time, and sells steel guitars and plays them until it's all gone..

Then starts over again..

Two things to do:

First, get a million dollars. Second, play your guitar.

I buy a lotto ticket every Saturday. I don't want to be rich or famous but I'd like to have a new M.S.A. D 10 and I figure winning the Lotto is the only way I'll ever get one. Whoa!

These days, it's not all that hard to make a million dollars playing steel guitar. Still... I think most of us guys do it for the women. I can't even count my wads of cash because there's always some groupie crawling all over me.

One of our very most famous, 'tho' humble steel guitarists here in the Pacific Northwest has said right here on this Forum that he has made at least 1/4 Million, I think it was; maybe a lot more, or, a little less, not really sure.
He works in multiple bands at the same time and gets, I think he said, a minimum of $100-$200 per night when the rest of us struggle to acquire the usual $40.00 per gig. Of course, if I could jes' learn how to do banjer rolls, I might be able to 'up' my share of the pie.
God bless this steeler and may he forever spend his earnings wisely.
