Is this bar a Black Rajah? I got it with a 50's no-name lap steel a few years ago. It appears to be lead filled bakelite and is three inches long and tapers from approx. 13/16 to 11/16 and weighs 4.5 oz. I'm asking the question here on No Peddlers since I'm thinking that anyone who would use a bar like this either plays lap steel or acoustic. Hope the picture comes out, my first attempt at posting one.

Yep, that's it! You're lucky if that's still uncracked. Most of them you see nowadays have cracked and missing pieces of coating.

Yes, It is the Black Raja bar. When I played my T-8 Fender in the 50's. I would use it for some tunes when I needed a minimum of string noise and a lot of 'mellow'. Just NEVER drop it on a hard surface like I did with one. It shattered into many, many pieces, and went into the trash can.

Thanx,
Jim
