Potential Issue with ebay auction fender steel

I may get in trouble for this but I think it important to bring up something to be aware of on this guitar:

Ask specifically about the pickup on the near neck before you bid. I played a guitar exactly like this at this store last month and on that one I thought the inside pickup was bad. It had a really thin tone. I told the store owner so at the time.

Maybe it's a different guitar and/or maybe he has had the pickup repaired. Just a word to the wise.
I won't be bidding, as it is out of my price range for this condition and model.
