For those of you that dig TONE....you might be interested in giving this tune a listen. I feel it is lush TONE, at its finest; a sound I'd die for.

We all seek to sound "original" but what's wrong with sounding something like this?
See what you think![This message was edited by Ray Montee on 03 October 2006 at 02:34 PM.] [This message was edited by Ray Montee on 03 October 2006 at 02:35 PM.] |

THANK YOU very, very much, Gary.
Sorry I didn't catch it. Must be 'cause I'm old and goin' blind......or something?
Appreciate all the help I can get.
Ooops! I see it now. No way I can cover that one up, right? Must've been the equipment or something?

Aw man. That's pretty sweet. I love the dive at the beginning of the second verse. |

And for another example of great tone, check out this song:
Georgia Steel Guitar
It doesn't get much better!

Interesting cut there, Jeff, if a bit subdued for Byrd.
Where did you find that one?
The overall sound was very full for such an old live cut.
Loved that bit of distorted raunch at 41 secs. in.
And was that a rare example of a JB flub at the end!?! |

Jeff
Thanks for putting that tune up . I remember
it as " Georgia's Steel " some time in the late
40's or early 50's that was a tune I was to
learn as a student -
( by the way ! I'm still a student ) - but
I remember it to be a little of the Steel Guitar Rag
and pan handle rag mixed together . I may still
have the sheet of paper it was written down on ,
I'll see if I can find it .
Edit to say !
I do believe that's Ray Montee playing ,
hard to tell the difference between him
and JB
Thanks
