What brand of acoustic guitar were used or favored by old time steel players like Sam Ku West, King Nawahi, Frank Ferera, and Sol Hoopii in the 20's and 30's?

Sol Hoopii and Sam Ku West played National Tricones. I believe Sol played a Martin on the earlier sides.
King Benny played a National Triolian.
Don't know what Frank or any of the other early players played, but whatever they played sounded great to me.
