There's a Starbucks surf music compilation that
just came out. The song by The Mermen, called
"Unto The Resplendent", has some nice pedal steel.
Does anyone know who it is?

Thanks

Man, I had totally forgotten that song had steel on it! Jim Thomas is one of my favorite guitar players/writers (one of the few that can "talk story" in an instrumental). I know I'll be working on that one later today...if my oldest son didn't swipe the CD.

Okay, Joe Goldmark gets it!

I also like Laika & the Cosmonauts track
on this compilation, and all the old songs
from Dick Dale, Jorgen Ingmann, Duane Eddy,
The Bel-Airs (without a bass player), The
Ventures, and more.
