Maybe someone who knows more about these things than I do could explain what's going on with this one. I've never seen this type of (chrome?) fret marker. Also, the price seems to be lower than would be usual for this vintage.

| Something tells me that, although the description says "an original rickenbacker pickup", that it is not theoriginal pickup. Hopefully someone didn't get duped, and scored a great deal! |

It looks enough like a 1935 B6 to be one. There is no reason to think that the added fret markers are original. The original dots are still there. The pickup is stamped Pat Pend on one end so it may be original for an early (ser C710) model but someone changed the adjustment screws out and that makes it look wierd. The tuners are right for a guitar in that serial # range and the case looks ok except for the changed handle.

Looks to me like the neck on this one is cracked. Look carefully on the 10th fret. A small portion of bakelite appears to have been chipped off toward the left side of the fret board. The crack or scratch is more noticeable when I lightened the photo in Adobe Photoshop.
The chrome fret markers seem to be chrome reflective tape that was sticked on. |

Robert Corwin verified the broken neck with a call to the seller as he states on another post. It "slipped the mind" of the seller".
Seemed too obvious to not be mentioned. Oh, I just noticed there's an elephant in my kitchen, gotta go.

The sale apparently fell through. (I had sent the buyer an email with links to the two threads on this forum about that guitar.)
The steel has been relisted, with no disclosure of the neck condition.
I guess you'd better be careful if you deal with Warp Drive Music.
