Steve's new CD is finally here(LET THE GAMES BEGIN) and what a CD it is! Thirteen GREAT tunes...some original, and some old standards done as only Steve can. I think you'll agree with me when I say "Some of the Best Steel Work I've ever heard". These can be ordered thru his web site and he is set up for Pay Pal.

Bill,
I have Steve's cd and of course love it.
His playing has grown to a level that I never in my wildest dreams will come close to achieving. Not to mention the lightning fast speed.

With no disrespect whatsoever meant towards Steve, When can we expect a cd from you.
Your tone and approach to the E-9th tuning are among my very favorites. You are able to build chords on the E-9th tuning that I have never heard anywhere. You do what Chalker did on C-6th. Instead of single string runs, you often substitute nice tasteful chords.
I really think a cd from you is long overdue.

Justin

I just ordered Steve's cd after hearing the clips on his site.Nice sound of the steel.Does anyone on here know how the recording of his steel was done on this cd? I'm new on this site and don't know anyone on here yet. This is my first post,so Hi eveyone!!!

I have a studio but it's been years since I did any steel guitar recording, and even then I didn't have as good a studio as I do now.I had a steel in the late 70's but never learned that much on it,just played it by ear and never used the knee levers at all. I play lots of instruments and have a pretty high end studio at this point.I'm interested in how people are getting the best sound when recording steel guitar because I just bought an old Sho bud and this time plan on really learning how to play it.

Thanks,
Stace
