I am finally using my MIDI. amazing little thing.
for a recording idea I would like to track some sound effects.
I can record birds out my back window. trains would be more difficult. living in the mid west, fog horns are rare sounds.
does any one know of a site for downloads such as these? |

Randy:
I've got a couple of short MP3's of train sounds. I can send them to you if you like. |

Randy - just send me a note whenever there's a sound you're looking for, I have lots of CDs full of "multimedia" sounds and noises...

The web is full of sound effects.
I just tried google.com, typed in "Train Sounds" and found a ton of them.
Sometimes if I'm working at my computer, and Sidney The Wonderdog is asleep, I'll Google "Cat Sounds".
I then turn up the speakers, and click on one of them and watch Sid jump. |

There's a lot of good FREE samples out there.
Keep looking. I'd like to hear what you find.
You could always ask Jim Eller to set up his new Tascam on train tracks and do recording for you. |
